Open
Water Diver (entry-level)
Now is the time to dive into the PADI Open Water Diver
course, the most popular dive program in the world! This is your
ticket to a lifetime of intense adventure!! As a certified PADI
Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive with a buddy
independent of a professional. If you already tried a PADI
Discover Scuba Diving experience, you may apply to the open
water program. Virtually anyone who is in good health,
reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI
Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or
have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open
Water Diver program available. Throughout the course, you'll
learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and
techniques. You earn this rating by completing 5 pool dives and
knowledge development sessions and by making 4 open water (ocean
or lake) dives.

Open Water Diver
If
you are a certified open water diver (at least 12 years old) and
would like to be more prepared for your next fun dives and learn
how to do proper techniques in other more adventurous dives like
deep diving, underwater navigation, night diving, drift diving,
peak performance buoyancy and the like, then the PADI Advanced
Open Water Diver program is for you. You only need 2 days to be
certified! This certification includes five Adventure Dives,
including the Deep Adventure Dive, the Underwater Navigator
Adventure Dive and three of the following:

Master
SCUBA Diver
This certification denotes that you've reached the highest
recreational (non-professional) diver level in the PADI System
of diver education. PADI Master Scuba Diver indicates you have a
significant amount of training and experience in a variety of
dive environments.
If you are at least 12 years old, is a certified rescue diver
and a holder of 5 PADI Specialty certifications, the you are
qualifies to apply for the PADI Master Scuba Diver rating.
But, you don't have to stop there! You can continue on to
become a PADI Professional. As a Master Scuba Diver you'll be
well qualified to begin your training as a PADI Divemaster.

Divemaster
Take the first step in your dive career and become a PADI
Divemaster. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership
abilities by training you to supervise dive activities and
assist instructors with student divers. As a certified
Divemaster you can:
- Work at local dive centers, on live-aboard dive boats,
yachts and at exotic resort locations
- Assist PADI Instructors with students
- Lead PADI Scuba Divers on guided dive tours
- Teach and certify PADI Skin Divers
- Teach PADI Discover Snorkeling programs
- Conduct PADI Scuba Review programs for certified divers
- Lead certified divers on Discover Local Diving experiences
- Teach Emergency First Response programs after successful
completion of an Emergency First Response Instructor course.
To start your Divemaster training one must be/have:
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or qualifying certification
from another training agency
- PADI Rescue Diver certification or qualifying
certification from another training agency
- Medical clearance signed by a physician
- 20 logged dives
- 18 years old
Since it is performance based and is a leadership training,
course can take as short as 12 days or more.

Water Scuba Instructor Program
The
PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor program is your final step in
the quest to become a PADI Instructor. During the Instructor
Development Course (IDC), you'll learn to use and adapt the PADI
System of diver education to individual student needs.
Comprehensive training, supported by a wide variety of PADI
educational materials, earns PADI Instructors respect from both
students and peers. PADI Open Water Scuba Instructors may
conduct a broad range of PADI programs from Discover Scuba to
Divemaster. If you are and have the following, you can already
start you instructor course.
- PADI Assistant Instructor certification or be an
instructor in good standing with another training
organization for at least six months ( check with a PADI
Course Director or PADI Office for qualifying credentials.)
- Hold a dive certification for at least six months
- Have 60 logged dives that include night, deep and
navigation dives as an entry-level, and have at least 100
dives before the start of the Instructor Examination (IE).
- Proof of CPR training within the last 24 months
- Medical clearance signed by a physician
